If you are going through a hard time understanding what you are doing in your career then you should look at these 3 signs that might indicate to you that you are wasting your time in your current career.

#1 You are Always Bored At Your Job

If you are counting the hours and minutes to get out, then it can be a sign that you are not enjoying your job. Not enjoying a job at the beginning or during rough times can be normal. But if you are working on a career for a while and had the chance to work in another company, then you are definitely wasting your time on something that you are not happy with.

You tend to feel bored even if you have a lot of work to do, you feel like you are forced to do the job. If this happens to you more often, then you should consider changing your career.

#2 You Always Complain About Your Job

If you always complain about your job and boss and can’t stand your daily routine, then you are not at the right path. Leave the job and find another one, if this keep on happening then you might want to change your career path.

Changing your career path can be challenging but it is for the best. Try to find a job that you enjoy. Don’t work at a job that you don’t feel alive and happy with. Doing that will make you more miserable than ever. You need a job that you brag about instead of complain about.

#3 You Are Not Progressing or improving at Your Job

If you are spending a lot of time on your job and still not progressing, then you want to change the way you approach your career or change the job. The more you spend time on a meaningless job — to you — the more you will not improve or progress.

It is very important to have a passion for what you are doing as a living. The best job is the job that you would do for free. Try to find that job then monetize it. Most people do the other way around, they find a high paying job then try to fill in the gaps and try to find the missing pieces that is hard to find. Find joy in what you do, chances are that you will become great at it.
